Evangelism, Discipleship, and Baseball

Since our wedding day on July 7, 2024, we have committed our lives to serving God, sharing the love and truth of Jesus Christ wherever He leads us. Our hearts are devoted to evangelism, discipleship, and building relationships that reflect Christ’s love for the world.

Our story began on March 5, 2023, when Cody spoke at Becca’s church about his calling to missions while she was home on furlough. As he shared, he noticed a beautiful woman sitting a few rows back—who would later become his wife. That night, over dinner, we discovered a shared passion for missions, though neither of us imagined what God had in store.

What started as a simple conversation soon turned into late-night phone calls, long walks, and deep spiritual discussions. By May 7, we were dating. When Becca returned to Hungary, we faced the challenge of distance, but God continued to deepen our connection. In December, Cody flew out and proposed, and the rest is His story. Looking back, we see how God orchestrated every detail, preparing us for a lifetime of serving Him together.

Now, we serve as one—with a shared calling to fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). Our mission is rooted in Christ’s example of humility and love: “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve” (Mark 10:45). Whether we are sharing the gospel with the lost, walking alongside the broken, or equipping others in their faith, we are committed to making disciples who will make disciples.

Together, we are embracing every step of this journey, trusting that God will use our marriage and ministry to impact lives in both countries and beyond for His glory. Whether mentoring, serving, or simply being present, our greatest desire is to glorify God and make Him known wherever we go.

Cody has been involved with Faith Field Baseball Ministries since he was 13, and in the past year and a half , he has committed to full-time missions with Faith Field. Becca has served with Word of Life for seven years—two in Brazil and five in Hungary.

Cody is the Co-Director of Faith Field Baseball Ministries, coordinating mission trips, baseball retreats, clinics, and other events. He uses baseball as a tool for evangelism, sharing the Gospel and building relationships on and off the field. Cody is also dedicated to discipleship, walking alongside players and coaches to help them grow in their faith and live out the love of Christ.

Becca serves at Word of Life as the Dean of Women and Intern Care Coordinator. In her role, she shepherds and mentors female students, helping them grow spiritually and navigate life’s challenges. She also supports interns, offering guidance, encouragement, and discipleship to help them gain missionary experience and deepen their relationship with Christ.

Our purpose in missions is rooted in our desire to glorify God and make His name known among all nations. Every follower of Christ is called to share the love and truth of Jesus Christ, whether through evangelism, discipleship, or meeting practical needs. Our mission is not just an activity—it is a lifestyle of faith, service, and obedience. Jesus commanded in the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). Missions is not just something we do, it is a reflection of who we are in Christ, sent to be His hands and feet wherever we are.

Our heart is to reach this generation—and the next—with the life-changing truth of Christ. The lost, the searching, the broken, the believer in need of encouragement, and those longing to grow deeper in their faith. We believe in investing in relationships, creating disciples who will also make disciples (2 Timothy 2:2), and empowering others to fulfill their God-given callings. We trust that God’s Word, when shared faithfully, will not return void (Isaiah 55:11).

We serve in three key ministries that help us fulfill this mission: our baseball ministry, bible school, and internship program.

1. Baseball Ministry – Reaching young men and women who might never step foot in a church, using the game as a bridge to share the gospel.

2. Bible School – Equipping young believers with a strong foundation in their faith—helping them understand what they believe, why they believe it, and how to live it out.

3. Internship Program – Guiding young adults in taking their next steps with Jesus, exposing them to God’s work around the world, and inviting them to be part of His mission.

Whether we are in Hungary, Nicaragua, or the USA, we go because Christ compels us to go. It is our joy to bring the gospel to life through our words and actions, with the ultimate hope that every life we touch will be transformed by the grace and love of Jesus.
